Western District

PRSA’s more than 110 Chapters are organized into 10 Districts. Districts are a vital link between local Chapters and PRSA National and offer members additional avenues to advance their career, expand their network, and develop leadership skills.

The Las Vegas Valley Chapter belongs to the Western District, which consists of 11 chapters in five western states: Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, southern California, and southern Nevada.

The Western District acts as a unified voice throughout the region with the goal to elevate the public relations profession by supporting professionals with comprehensive resources and cultivating leaders through relevant and engaging education. The District provides support and resources for its 11 chapters and their leadership so that they can better and more efficiently serve their members, share ideas, and advance the industry.

The Western District consists of an elected board of directors and board members who act as representatives for the 11 chapters across the district. Representatives primarily consist of incoming and current members, as well as past chapter presidents. All assembly delegates and PRSA members within the district are invited to participate, with each individual receiving one vote for approval. 

During its annual Western District Conference, the district recognizes the outstanding work and excellent service its members achieve. The “Best in the West” award is given to an outstanding public relations program, and the “Platinum Service Award” highlights a leader who has made a difference in the public relations industry.
